Junior Hockey World Cup: India face Australia in semi-final

The Host (India) defeated Spain (2-1) in Junior hockey world cup quarter final. Indian young Guns topped their group to enter into the quarter final  of Junior hockey world cup.

In the Knockout stages Indian are still unbeaten. By defeating Spain in their quarter-final match shows they’re at their best.

Australia will be facing the unstoppable Indian Junior Hockey team today at Lucknow’s Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium at 18:00 IST today.

India was trailing in the 1st half with (0-1), as some mismatch between players clearly caught in the eyes of masses.

As the game progresses in 2nd half, Indian guns showed their class with scoring couple of goals on needed time.

March Serrahima’s (Spain) who gave his team a lead in the 1st half, could not help his team to push away from defeat.

From India’s point of view, Simranjeet levels the scorecard in the 57th minute and keep things alive.

Singh scored an excellent penalty shot and made sure that Indian team enters semi final of the world cup 2016.

India defeated mighty Proteas (south Africa) in the league match by (2-1) to step up into the knockout stage. Indian players have scored 11 goals in 3 matches and showed lots of potential on the field.

Indian Junior hockey team showed a comfortable win over Canada in their 1st league match by (4-0).

Host’s where judged on their quality games against England and South Africa, where the host got some tough fights.

India’s coach Harendra Singh says – “Defeating Spain is not an easy task on big platform as they are an accomplished hockey team.

Yes there are things we would like to improve is always there. I think this is a good bunch of players that is willing to work really hard”.

India has won this Tittle in the year 2001 and try to turn things around this season. Host will now take on with old rivals Australia in the semi’s today.

India had showed quality moves and impressive game and wants to lift the Trophy of 2016 Junior Hockey world cup edition.
